The Albury Wodonga Bandits are a basketball team that competes in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). Formerly known as the Wodonga Border Bulldogs, Albury Wodonga have both a men's team (established in 1984) and a women's team (established in 2006). In 2001, the men's team tasted success for the first time with a win over the Frankston Blues in the ABA East Conference grand final.〔(Self-belief put Bandits on top )〕 Their next lot of success came in 2012 with a win over the Knox Raiders in the SEABL South Conference grand final, and later defeated the Dandenong Rangers in the overall SEABL championship game.〔(Border Bandits win SEABL GF )〕 The Lady Bandits entered the SEABL women's competition in 2006 with Opals captain, WNBA MVP and Albury native Lauren Jackson playing in the team's first game. Jackson scored 45 points against the Nunawading Spectres and led the team to a thrilling one-point win. Since then, they have been largely uncompetitive until the 2009 season, with New Zealand Tall Ferns assistant coach Kennedy Kereama taking the reins, and with the addition of New Zealand international players Lisa Wallbutton and Toni Edmondson, made the SEABL playoffs for the first time in their four-year history.〔(Change of scene for Albury-Wodonga ladies )〕 ==Current roster==
